Do you want to go further in your style search? Focus on the patterns! Our advice to get started? Stripes, classic, graphic, easy to integrate into all your outfits. You will not be disappointed.

The men's striped shirt has a special place in the men's wardrobe. It can in fact embody either a completely formal elegance or a touch of fantasy. There are thus as many uses as there are stripes; It is by playing on the aesthetics of these that we will give our outfit a chic or casual style. At Hast, we have chosen to use this historic pattern on different fabrics, collars, cuts and colors. All our shirts are designed to last in hand-picked workshops benefiting from the best know-how. To guarantee an honest price, we have chosen to limit intermediaries as much as possible. All you have to do is choose a men's striped shirt from our high-end selection. Where does the striped shirt come from? In the Middle Ages, stripes were associated with the marginalized, the reprobate, with all those who exercised artistic professions or who did not live like true gentlemen. But from the 17th century, they became a widespread motif in better regarded professional categories, such as soldiers or valets. It was ultimately, like many other fashion objects, from the 19th century and the industrial revolution that the striped shirt began to become popular. Today stripes are particularly popular, far from any cultural meaning, to obtain a pure aesthetic effect. How to wear it? If they do not obey, in principle, a particular code, it should be noted that Bengal stripes, finer, approaching a plain effect, tend in general to be considered more formal, while stripes thicker, the famous stick stripes, evoke a more relaxed style. Even if this distinction is to be taken into consideration when choosing a men's striped shirt, it is also entirely possible to move away from it. At Hast, we have therefore chosen to reserve our thickest striped shirts for our more relaxed cuts, perfect for wearing on the weekend, without a tie, thanks to their buttoned collar. For our more formal shirts, we opted for several types of stripes, ranging from medium pattern to faux solid, red to pink, and dark to light blue, to pair with any jacket or tie. Pair your striped shirt well The important thing is, first and foremost, to take care of your associations. And while it is possible to try combining patterns, it is much less risky to opt for a plain jacket, pants and tie. You can choose to play with contrasts, keeping in mind that these work best with dark on light (a navy blue tie on a light blue striped shirt, for example).
