Collection: Twill

Due to its twill weave (the same as denim), twill is a very easy fabric to iron. We recognize it by its slanted stripes, the result of a process consisting of staggering the weft thread and the warp thread. Its silky effect makes it more suitable for formal wear, just like the chevron.

Twill shirts
The twill shirt is an essential formal shirt , just like the poplin shirt or the Oxford shirt. Indeed, this soft and supple shirt ensures an elegant style in all circumstances. Furthermore, the weaving technique used makes the men's twill shirt particularly durable over time while being very easy to iron. At Hast, we wanted our twill shirt to adapt to all faces and body types. We therefore combined it with our semi-cutaway collar – our brand's signature collar – or our French collar, ideal to wear with or without a tie. The twill shirt with a bright and elegant style Twill is the English term for “twill” weaving. Indeed, it is characterized by its ribs, that is to say the diagonal or oblique lines of the fabric. The latter are obtained by alternating weft and warp threads: the warp thread passes below a weft thread then above several weft threads. We then shift the warp by one thread with each pass, which allows us to obtain the diagonal or oblique lines characteristic of twill. Depending on the weaving, the twill can have a weft effect or a warp effect. The more structured this effect is, the more “shiny” the fabric will be, which gives the shirt a luminous appearance. The qualities of twill fabric Our Hast twill shirts are made from 100% cotton, a fabric that is very respectful of the skin and allows it to breathe even during extreme heat. Thanks to the twill weave, the shirt is very light, even more so than Oxford fabric . Very resistant, the fabric is less sensitive to creasing and is easy to iron. How to wear our twill shirt?
